  3.  ║ We frequently get calls from people who are stuck with older PCs -  don't ║
  4.  ║ despair - we have a number of programs that are ideal for these machines. ║
  5.  ║ Those listed below (in lowercase type) are known to support Hercules mono ║
  6.  ║ chrome graphics; those with an asterisk will also run on (even) older PCs ║
  7.  ║ with no graphics capability (ie. text only).  Those in BLOCK CAPITALS are ║
  8.  ║ CGA programs known to work on Hercules screens when a CGA emulator is run ║
  9.  ║ first. Many other CGA titles in this catalogue will probably also run OK. ║
  10.  ║ Please refer to next section for more details on CGA emulators.           ║

  12.  ║ Many CGA programs will run on Hercules monitors if you run a CGA emulator ║
  13.  ║ first. We have three such programs available (SIMCGA, SIMCGA2, HGCIBM).It ║
  14.  ║ is really a matter of trial and error, different ones work with different ║
  15.  ║ programs and some may work faster than others. Please ask, and we'll copy ║
  16.  ║ them (free of charge) onto one of your disks - space permitting. The most ║
  17.  ║ useful seems to be HGCIBM - which is normally loaded by typing  HGCIBM /E ║
  18.  ║ from the DOS prompt (HGCIBM /U to uninstall). Many of the other CGA games ║
  19.  ║ and educational programs in this catalogue will probably run successfully ║
  20.  ║ using this method (system requirements are shown at the end of every disk ║
  21.  ║ description). We have only listed below those we have fully tested.       ║

  27.  NOTE: Hercules monitors DO NOT support EGA, VGA or sVGA graphics. If you have
  28.  "mono-VGA" this will generally be OK for all graphics except sVGA.  Although,
  29.  obviously some programs (such as colouring books) will not really be usable.
